How can I manage and add extra payment terminals?
Last updated on March 24, 2025
If your business needs to accept payments in multiple locations—such as different counters in a bar, hotel reception, or mobile payments on the go—you can add additional terminals (terminal IDs) within your Vibrant platform.
How to add a new terminal
1. Create a new terminal in the Vibrant platform
Log in to your Vibrant dashboard.
Navigate to Administration > Terminals.
Click "Add new terminal".
Give the terminal a name (e.g., “Bar counter,” “Mobile terminal”).
Select the terminal mode based on how you will use it:
Terminal mode (for integrated POS systems)
POS mode (for standalone terminals)
2. Choose the correct terminal mode
Terminal mode → If you use Vibrant through an integration, select this mode. The terminal will purely act as a payment device, receiving transactions directly from your integrated POS system.
POS mode → If you are using Vibrant as a standalone solution without integrations, select this mode. You will manually enter amounts and see transactions directly on the terminal.
3. Connect a compatible device
Once you have created the terminal ID, you need a compatible device to use it. Ensure your device is supported—see our list of compatible devices here.
Turn on your device and connect it to the internet.
Download and install the Vibrant app – See instructions on how to download the app here.
Log in with your Vibrant credentials.
Select the terminal ID you created in the platform.
Your terminal is now ready to accept payments!
